weekend.
Friday night, amble on down ta tha Fair Park (not a great park, but a fair one)
in Dallas fer tha
North Texas Irish Fest.
Yer balovid Corsairs will be performin' on tha Trinity Stage at 9:30. We is tha
last act on that stage Friday, so since there's no one a-follyin' us, we is
liable ta go on an' on 'til tha wee hours (ef tha stage manager don't quit).
Saturdy night, we is gonna be on tha Star an' Harp stage at 8:00. Agin' we is
tha last act on that stage, so we may have ta make 'em close up shop around us,
we is gonna be so full a' singin' (er full a' somethin').
Our new album, "9 Live", will be available fer tha first time ever. We just
made it, so it's still all brite and shiny. Ya kin buy it an' hear tha Corsairs
live on CD, purty much as it happened (I had ta do a little editin' out of tha
curse words and such). Ef yer tha type that only sees us at tha NTIF (an' I
suspect ya ain't, er ya wouldna be askin' ta be on tha mailin' list), there will
be about 4 er 5 "new" Corsairs albums fer ya ta buy, 'cause it's been a long
time since we was allowed at the Irish Fest.
We got a new t-shert dasign too. Et's been available fer a few weeks now,
either at the
Open Door Coffee House
where we racorded "9 Live" last month, er online at
tha Corsairs website.
But ef ya ain't got one yet, ya kin git one this weekend.
Also, ya should be made aware that the NTIF has got some promotions goin' fer
this year.
The
festival is offering great specials for the Friday kick off night. FREE
admission from 6 - 7 pm. and 50% off admission for the remainder of the
evening. The festival hours are:
Friday, 6:00 pm- 11:00 pm
Saturday, 10:30 am - 11:00 pm
Sunday, 11:30 am - 7:00 pm
I know what
yer thinkin'. 'Umble Will, yer sayin', why would ya be tellin' us this? How
does this enfermation benefet you? Well, et don't. I was just feelin' generis,
is all. A feller cain't be a cold-hearted killer all tha time. Et's just too
borin'.

We is gonna be at
Scarberry Faire
on May 19, 20, 26, 27, an' 28th. Yeah, I know, it don't seem like much, but in
this post-9/11 economy, some cuts had ta be made sumwheres, an' out a' tha
half-dozen acts chosen not ta have a full run, we was one of 'em. Maybe 'cause
we took last year off, who knows. But we're also tryin' ta set up shows around
tha country so ef we have fans that don't all live in tha Dee-Eff-Dubya, maybe
they'll get ta bask en our greatness too. I'll be sure ta let ya know of enny
upcomin' shows as soon as Cap'n Morgan tells me about 'em.
